Technical Water Resources Modelling - Hydrology and Water Management

I have developed complex HEC-HMS (Hydrologic Modelling System) and HEC-ResSim (Reservoir Simulation) models for several international case studies which I have previously developed for several U.S. Corps of Engineers efforts throughout the globe. These models allow for analyses of climate change on both the hydrology and water management aspects of major rivers that are shared by various nations.
Specific experience I have in this field involve developing complex rainfall-snowpack-snowmelt-runoff models and water management models include
Afghanistan – Analyzed over 500 potential small irrigation dam sites and $150M Dahla Dam Restoration in Afghanistan. Developed monthly time-step model automates/integrates FAO crop water demand, stochastic stream flow generation, and reservoir storage accounting to determine the amount of irrigated cropland a given reservoir could support over entire hydrologic regime
Pakistan – Developed HEC-HMS temperature-index gridded snowmelt model of Indus River Basin’s Himalayan Mountains to assist Government of Pakistan in providing more accurate flood forecasts in response to disastrous 2022 flooding on the Indus River. Developed HEC-ResSim Indus River Basin Reservoir Simulation Model that features irrigation support, hydropower generation, flood control, and environmental flows from Tarbela and Mangla Reservoirs for the entire Indus Basin Irrigation System
Brazil – Developed complex HEC-ResSim models for several major reservoir systems throughout the country to evaluate alternative water management strategies for multi-use (hydropower generation, flood risk management, navigation, and environmental).
