Colorado State University is recognized throughout the globe as one of the leading international water resources research universities. Currently, I am a member of Davenport Research Group @ Colorado State University, which is led by Dr. Francis Davenport, PhD, an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at CSU. Dr. Davenport has expertise in global climate change and its impacts, particularly with respect to extreme climate events and the hydrologic cycle. Dr. Davenport received an undergraduate degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College, before pursuing her Ph.D. in Earth System Science from Stanford University.
The Research Group explores research questions related to global climate and the hydrologic cycle, extreme climate events, and how climate change impacts human and natural systems. The Group uses global climate models, observational data from in-situ monitoring networks and remote sensing, and computational analysis tools, including deep learning and deterministic water resources modelling.
